my personal story
I am Colombian, 43 years old, and from a very young age I discovered that photography was much more than just an image to me — it was a way of seeing and understanding life. I grew up surrounded by many hardships and poverty, and although I dreamed of owning a camera, for many years that dream seemed impossible.
GOD, my beautiful mother, and this beautiful life gave me the opportunity to dream of immigrating to the United States, and it was here that I was finally able to begin turning my dreams into reality. Since then, photography has become my way of telling stories: simple stories of everyday life, street scenes, self-portraits, and portraits filled with emotion and humanity.
Every photograph represents an authentic moment to me — a truth, a reflection of what words often cannot express. My vision is not only to capture images, but to create connection; to show the before and after of a person, a transformation, a struggle, an evolution, or even the rawest realities of life.
My dream is to one day work alongside people who deeply love photography, and together create spaces where images can touch others, where people can see themselves reflected, identify with what they see, and feel something real when looking at each portrait.
Because to me, a portrait is not simply a photograph. A portrait is an entire life standing in front of the camera.
